The Client

The Center for Reproductive Rights is the only global legal advocacy organization dedicated to advancing reproductive rights through the law.

Since 2020, Sequence has partnered with the nonprofit to design and produce fundraising galas, hybrid events, virtual experiences, and leadership summits across New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Chicago, helping bring its mission to life through impactful event experiences.

The Challenge

Producing fundraising events for a nonprofit with a global mission requires balancing creativity with thoughtful budget management while creating experiences that inspire generosity, building community and reinforce the organization’s impact.

Each event presents unique logistical and production challenges, from accommodating high-profile speakers and celebrity guests, to maximizing venue capacity and adapting programming to support evolving fundraising goals and world events. At the same time, every experience must remain true to the Center’s mission while encouraging meaningful engagement from donors and advocates.

The Solution

Sequence has become a trusted extension of the Center for Reproductive Rights’ team, providing creative direction, production management, and technical expertise across a growing portfolio of events.

Whether producing virtual galas during the pandemic, hybrid fundraising experiences, large-scale in-person benefits, or the organization’s biennial State Leadership Summit, Sequence delivers end-to-end event management while adapting each experience to the unique goals of the program.

One of the most recent examples of this partnership was in Los Angeles Benefit at The Maybourne Beverly Hills, where more than 420 guests gathered to support the Center’s work. Working within a carefully managed budget while maximizing the venue’s capacity, Sequence oversaw event production from planning through execution, creating a seamless guest experience that supported networking, storytelling, and fundraising.

To further enhance the evening, the team collaborated with the client to reimagine the live fundraising moment by introducing numbered bidding paddles during the in-room donation appeal. The refreshed format created an energetic atmosphere that encouraged participation and contributed to the event’s strongest in-room fundraising performance to date.

Beyond the gala series, Sequence also produced the Center’s State Leadership Summit in Chicago, bringing together more than 150 legislators and advocates from across the country for two days of education, collaboration, and policy discussions, demonstrating the team’s ability to support both fundraising and mission-driven conferences.

The Results

Over more than four years of partnership, Sequence has helped the Center for Reproductive Rights deliver impactful experiences that strengthen donor relationships, elevate awareness, and support the organization’s fundraising efforts.
