About the Position:

  • Produce multiple intricate projects simultaneously, at various stages and levels.
  • Effectively and efficiently toggle between running client oversight and overseeing high level production needs while navigating seamless delegation to the staff on the front lines.
  • Contribute to staffing best practices for jobs with an eye to efficiency.
  • Harness a strong passion for discovery, client’s goals, and KPIs
  • Be able to draft strategic creative solutions with a keen eye to circle back to those project goals
  • Independently oversee project planning for a wide variety of clients and event types:
    • Lead the strategic onboarding of a client, identifying goals and striving for the best results to achieve those goals every day.
    • Liaise with clients and help enhance Sequence’s relationships and reputation.
    • Identify staffing needs and provide the team with guidance every step of the way.
    • Manage contractors and event staff with clear expectations and respect (leading by example).
    • Build and maintain event timelines, delegating responsibilities and managing logistics via our project management system (Monday.com).
    • Oversee the sourcing of venues and vendors and the tracking of attendees and sponsorship management, as needed.
    • Create on-site timelines, checklists, and other briefing documents.
    • Provide quality control on all project documents and systems.
    • Provide a proven level of strategic thinking (both logistically and creatively) across jobs.
    • Facilitate smooth cross-functional collaboration with all departments (for both internal and external components) to execute all event ideations and deliverables.
    • Build and maintain client budgets with precision and ensure timely payments and billing with an eye to profitability.
    • Succinct and accurate time tracking within allocated timelines for reporting
    • Demonstrate the highest level of organization, leadership, and thoroughness on all tasks and deadlines.
  • Participate in creative brainstorms to generate ideas and achieve clients’ goals.
  • Support Business Development efforts on the front line of proposals and pitches contributing to strategy, ideas, budget, etc.
  • Learn and effectively use Sequence’s systems and tools with proficiency and consistency with an emphasis on pushing the staff to use and learn them.
  • Proactively identify areas of growth for junior staff and freelancers; provide continual training and mentorship to build their skills and confidence.
  • Report to (and be a part of) Sequence leadership and communicate constantly.
  • Act as an inspiring leader and contribute to a supportive, inclusive company culture.

 

About You:

  • 8-10 years of event planning & project management experience (agency experience a must!)
  • Experience overseeing a wide variety of clients and events a MUST! (conferences, activations, experiential brands, etc)
  • Outgoing personality with strong communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized
  • Ready, willing and able to lead; confident in delivering constructive feedback directly and frequently
  • Positive can-do attitude, with no task too big or too small
  • Creative, tactical problem-solver and a dedicated self-starter
  • Hard-working; you recognize this business does not have set hours
  • Ability to inspire others, leading by example
  • Incredibly resourceful & always thinking about what’s new and different
  • Excellent computer (mac!) and internet research skills
  • Ability to successfully multitask and take ownership to drive assigned projects
